Hello, my name is Lisa. I was born on Jan. 14, 1979 at Elmhurst General Hospital in Queens, NY. I was given up at the hospital to Sheltering Arms Orphanage. However, my birth mother named me Lisa and my last name was Stephen(S). She came from England but I do not know if she was living there and just visiting the US. My adopted family has had me since I was 5 months old. They always intended to adopt me but couldn’t do it legally until I was 2. I am wondering about my birth parents and if I have siblings. I would love to know the circumstances around my birth. My adopted parents were older at the time my father is deceased & my mother is 92. They were good parents to me and I would want you to know that. I thank you for using adoption as an option for me.
