I was born Christina Maselli on 2/4/66 in Manhattan NY. My mother placed me for adoption on 4/14/66 at the New York Foundling. My mother Josefa Vera Ballesteros was born in Spain on 5/31/1945. She married Frank Masella in Manhattan in 1963. Frank is not my birth father. She divorced in 1966 after my birth‚ and was remarried on 11/8/1966 to Fritz Lee Che‚ who was born in Vietnam. I am also searching for a half sister‚ a child my mom had in 1968 with Fritz Che. Her married name is Kimberly Stewart. I have been able to locate my birth father and 3 half siblings through DNA. Birth Father passed away in 2009 from Leukemia. My mother’s father died when she was about 3 around 1948 in Spain. I have been able to verify through DNA search and family tree from my cousin from Spain‚ the name of my great‚ great‚ grandparents‚ and know where I fit into the tree‚ however do not have the names of my grandparents. They all were born in Spain‚ mostly in the town of Ardales‚ Carratraca or Casarabonela‚ all in Malaga‚ Spain. My father was said to have been a professor at City College of NY and Fordham University. I have recently found him and have 3 half siblings - very exciting! My adoption was finalized in 1972. I so very much want to find my family - I have been searching for years. I am sure that the circumstances surrounding my being placed in foster care were extraordinary and difficult.
