My name is Mackenzie Skyler Cook I was born male and I am currently transitioning from male to female which is why I selected both genders when you asked for my gender as I said I was born male my birth name was John Joseph Connelly I know this from non identifying information that I obtained from Angle of Guardian Adoption Services a division of Catholic Charities in Brooklyn ( Kings County) New York I was born in Brooklyn and I was put up for adoption at 5 months old and shortly thereafter I was Adopted by Joan Ann Henderson Cook and her husband James Thomas Cook SR. I know also from the non identifying information I was able to get from the adoption agency that my birth mother was what they called mentally challenged back then and that she was only 21 when she had me and that my birth father was a 29 year old moving truck driver and when he found out that he had gotten a mentally challenged 21 year old pregnant rather than take responsibility for his actions and help take care of his child he decided to disappear and that my birth grand parents on my birth mother’s side tried to take care of both of us but they both had to work so when I was 5 months old I was put up for adoption and shortly their after adopted by Joan and James Cook my adopted parents!
