on my Grandmother’s deathbed‚ she claimed that she had a child when she was a teenager‚ long before my Grandfather came around. She claimed that she had a relationship with an African American gentleman‚ who didn’t get along with my Grandmothers Dad (late 1930s/early 1940s?) and they broke it off. My Grandmother claimed she went to New York for the rest of her pregnancy‚ and she put the baby (boy) up for adoption.
