My daughter was abandoned by her father at age 5. He was adopted and was born April 4, 1968 in Binghamton, NY through a Catholic adoption service. She has been very sad and troubled that he left her. A DNA sample on Ancestry led her to a second cousin as a genetic match. The cousin was born in 1971, has a striking resemblance to my daughter’s father and was also adopted. Both of them cannot stop searching and feel a big hole left wondering who they are and wanting (hopefully) a relationship with the missing family. Any help is much appreciated.
