I was born in Akron Ohio in July‚ 1958. My birth mother’s name was June Eilene (correct spelling) Smith. She was 16 years old at the time I was born. I found her family in 1988. Unfortunately she had passed away in 1983 at only 41 years old. My original birth certificate indicated that one other live birth had taken place. In talking to my uncles‚ aunt and grandmother‚ I was told that June had given birth to a daughter when she was 14 years old. She had been sent to New York State to have that child and they didn’t know what had happened to her but assumed that she had been adopted out in New York. I was adopted through Summit County Family Services in 1958-59. My given birth name was Marie Ann Smith and my Father’s name was not given. I was raised an only child and always dreamed of having a sister. When I tried to find information in 1988‚ I was told that the records were sealed and that I couldn’t find that information. I do not know what month she was born in 1955‚1956 or 1957.
