Hey Good Evening Everyone This is a long shot‚ but I’m going to try anyway. Before I get into the details‚ I just want to say I’m usually very good at finding people. But this situation right here… it’s different. Maybe because it’s personal. It’s about my roots. And no matter how hard I try‚ I just can’t seem to connect the pieces. As time passes‚ my father’s health is declining. One of his biggest wishes is to finally know about his birth family his parents‚ siblings‚ or any living relatives. So please bear with me… I only have so much to go off of: My father’s name is Bobby Jones. He was born April 3‚ 1963‚ in Monticello‚ NY (12701). He was adopted but always had his original birth certificate. His birth mother is listed as Clara Mae Jones‚ who was 22 years old at the time of his birth (so she would be around 83 or 84 today‚ born approx. 1941). His birth father is Robert Gerone Smith‚ 26 years old at the time (so about 87 or 88 today‚ born approx. 1937). Now‚ according to what my nana told my dad before she passed: Clara wasn’t originally from Monticello she was either working as a maid or at the Monticello Hospital‚ which is also where my dad was born. Robert was said to be a pastor‚ and after Bobby was born‚ they moved somewhere down South (we’re not sure exactly where). That’s all I have‚ but I’m holding onto hope that someone‚ somewhere‚ knows something. If any of these names‚ or details sound familiar‚ please don’t hesitate to reach out.
