My half-sister was born April 8th 1964. Her name was Laura Long at birth. She was surrendered to a Catholic Charity in Staten Island...Sisters of ???. My father was a dangerous alcoholic and my mothers life was in danger. My mother was penniless and we were living in a rat infested apartment in the Bronx. I was 4 at the time. My brother was 2. Laura’s father was not my father. I have pictures and wonderful memories of her father. He was a kind and gentle man. My mother thinks the adopting family was named Zimmerman. Laura had brown hair and brown or hazel eyes.
