I am a 58 yr. old female who was adopted from Angel Guardian Home in Brooklyn‚ NY . I was born in KIng’s County Hospital in Brooklyn‚ NY my adopted parents names are John and Carmela Basak I was surrendered to The Angel Guardian Home in August 1963 and was placed for adoption in March 1964. I have recently found out that my birth mother’ name at the time of my birth was Dawn Sullivan. I have just received my pre-adoption Birth certificate which verified her identity. HOWEVER… as per the certificate…. She had another child before me! Letter from adoption agency states the same . She would have been 15-16 yrs old at the time of that child’s birth. I was able to connect with a maternal half sister (younger than me) but she reports that my birth mother is cognitively impaired at this time and does not remember having any children prior to her. It is possible that this unknown sibling born before me shares the same birth father with me. His info is below. His name was David Murray. He is deceased now and also had 8 other children (from 3 marriages) over the years. I have also been in touch with most of them. . He was a Trailways Bus driver and apparently was on the road most of the time (from NYC to Sarinac Lake ‚NY). At the time of my birth‚ he was living in Beacon NY. I am searching for this unknown sibling. Possibly born in Brooklyn NY if birth mother was sent to same agency then as she was pregnant with me?
