I am looking for the birth parents of my adopted sister. Her name is Tricia Thomas and she was born on July 7, 1973 in West Islip, Suffolk County, New York. She was adopted in 1975 to Brenda and George Thomas from an adoption agency called Children Awaiting Parents (CAPS) which is located in Rochester, NY. Her last name at birth is unknown because our adoptive mother does not recall what Tricia’s last name was before she adopted her. Thomas was the last name of her adoptive father. We have no other information besides the possible fact that she was taken or given up immediately after birth. Something along the lines of her going straight from her mother’s arms after being born for only a few minutes to her being taken or given up and going straight into foster care. So we have no idea who her birth mother or father could be. Her birth certificate only names her adoptive parents.
