I’m trying to find my biological grandfather (mother’s father). Mum has passed and no one in the family knows or wants to know. Joyce Mary Dwyer was born on 30th May 1935 in Toongabbie NSW. I believe her birth name was Joyce Mary Dwyer. She was adopted (by Leslie George Barnes - born 12 January 1906) ) at about 11 years of age and then named Joyce Mary Barnes. Her mother is Mary Edith Dwyer born 7 April 1915. Archives.com.au suggests my biological grandfather is Norman Fredrick James Born in 1906, who remarried Dorothy Carrington The only birth certificate I can find is when she was registered in the name of Barnes.
