I have only just found out a little information a week ago. The family I lived with in infancy was in Highgate Steet‚ Bexley. Possibly I was born at St George Hospital. I also have a rare medical inherited condition called Familial Mediterranean Fever- Dominant Deletion Mutation DELM694 exon 10‚ which is inherited from one of my parents. Possibly my mother. It looks as though my birth father is correct on my birth certificate but not my mother. My birth certificate was not registered with BD&M in Australia and the birth certificate I was given had no watermark nor a BD&M stamp on it authenticating it. It was not until I went to change my name after my marriage ended that BD&M informed me that the number on my birth certificate did not correspond to anything in their records. Because my family would not disclose anything to me and I had been married with it‚ BD&M then used the unauthentic birth certificate and created a new birth certificate dated 2006. Upon discussion many years ago (10)‚ with St George Hospital I was told the number on my birth certificate corresponded with a number of other children and these were in a separate register. I was told I could not view the register as it had been water damaged. It rather looks like I was in fact adopted and it was a closed adoption. I have done ancestry dna and it looks like my father is the Russian side and my mother English‚ Welsh‚ Scottish. Danish‚ Finland and German ethnicity. However a niece is popping up as being related via the paternal line so possibly my father is correct. However she is not coming up as related via my mothers line to me which points to a different mother. My mother and father freaked out when I asked them about my birth and both gave me different stories about my father being present. My father has since passed but even his surname has a big question around it as no close relative coming up at all. We have wondered whether dads real surname is in fact something else to further add to my woes. I have read that in many cases birth details are changed even dates of birth and birth years and also birth mothers have also been given incorrect information regarding the sex of the baby. If you are reading this and any info adds up please contact me. Thank you so much.
