My family attempted to adopt a little boy in 1972-73. I believe he was 4-5 years old at the time. (I was 15 or 16) He was with us for the full pre-adoption trial period, but when it came time to finalize the adoption, due to health issues my mother was having at the time, my parents decided it was just not possible (nor in his best interest) to go through with the adoption. The day they came to pick him up from our home has been burned into my memory and haunted me my entire life. I would so like to know that he is okay and that he found the loving, supportive adoptive family he needed and deserved to have. He was so sweet and had been through so much in his short life.....I still love him to this day....
