I am a female searching for my birth parents. My birth date is on or near November 18‚ 1966 (Presbyterian Hospital). My adoptive family were practicing Catholics at the time and my father was enlisted in the Army stationed at Sandia Base. My adoptive mother is a nurse. My birth mother’s name is Bette Jane Chavez. I’ve recently found out she has passed and so I have no details about my birth father. I am bi-racial‚ African American‚ and Mexican American. It was my understanding that I was adopted at birth within 3 hours but more than likely it was a few days later. I wish I had more to tell. These are the only details I’ve been provided with surrounding my birth.
