His name at birth was William Joseph Morgan, although the father, David R. Morgan, denied paternity and divorced my mother claiming abandonment when she left him after only 3 weeks. After her death I found a divorce decree dissolving the bonds of marriage between her and this David Morgan, and for some reason the baby was taken away to the St Michaels Orphanage in Hopewell, NJ and placed up for adoption within a year. The adoption was handled by Catholic Charities, I’m almost positive because I know for a fact he was there in 1960 and was adopted from there by his first foster family. I tracked him that far through Nancy Morrell way back in 2004 and she found his records where he was adopted, she just was unable to give me the information as the records were still sealed then. My mother’s name was Gloria Schofield, she gave birth in either Trenton, or Freehold on December 30, 1960. My name is Tammy Corley Emert, I’m his baby sister and if he’s out there, tell him it’s time to come home...
