My mother’s name is Goldie Roberta Holcombe. She was an orphan and unmarried when she gave birth to my half sister in Middlesex Hospital. She named the baby Charlene. It was in August and a year or more before I was born in July 1957. She tried to keep her child with no support from anyone. She moved in with a minister who had a large family. The situation was not safe‚ and even though she loved her child so much‚ she felt it would best for the baby to be adopted into a good family and have a good life. The minister arranged a private adoption. The adoptive father was named Nash and worked for the FBI or CIA. I just want to let my sister know her birth family is here and would like to meet her and any other relatives‚ and welcome her to the family.
