I just found out that my father‚ Randolph Samways‚ had a child born out of wedlock when he was 17. My dad was born in 1950. I believe the relationship was summer of 1967 - I’m not exactly sure when she delivered‚ but March-June of 68 is best guestimate. He gave me all the information he could: the mother was named Muriel Monk‚ she was about the same age as him‚ she lived in the Oak Park/Chicago‚ IL area‚ she had a brother named Eddie‚ her father was a deacon in the Salvation Army Church‚ and that she was sent to a Catholic home for unwed mothers in New Jersey for her pregnancy and delivery‚ she delivered a boy. My dad did a 23&me test‚ but there have been no close relative matches of a son. I have no other information‚ but would really like to find my half-brother!
