Searching for half brother given up for adoption at birth. DOB 10/9/59 Born in Jersey City, N.J. Margaret Hague Maternity Hospital, in Hudson county. Name at birth was Kevin Brown. White male. Mothers name then was Catherine Brown, but it may be listed as Kay Brown. If research is correct the weight was 8lbs 13oz and was 21 1/4" long.Catholic Charities of Newark N.J. was the adoption agency. Adoptive parents lived in a cape cod style home, in a surburban community. Adotptive father worked in a shipyard, and adoptive mother, was being trained to be a telephone operator, at time of adoption. Adoption was finalized Febuary 5th 1960 or 61. According to my research Catholic charities handled adoptions within a 20 mile radius then. The only area with a shipyard that falls within the perimeters that Catholic Charities handled at that time that may have had a shipyard, that I know of would be in Elizabeth N.J., but I could be wrong. I have been searching for nearly 30 years, and have hit nothing but dead ends. I became computer literate 6 years ago in the hopes that it may help my search. I promised my mother many years ago I would search as long as it took. She resides in a nursing home. I hope one day I can let her know that you have been found and that she did the right thing. Also I now use my birth name, Debra Anne Brown, and reside in South West Ky. As of November 24, 2014 our mother passed away, in the nursing home she lived in, at the time when this was first written. Home address embellished, within this message, as of June 2020, is still the same, along with other identifiable information. Also note my nickname is Dee.
