My half brother was born William Joseph, (or Billy Joe, as Mama called him) and through unforseen circumstances was taken from my mama and placed in St Michaels Orphanage in Hopewell, NJ. Mama said she tried everything she could to get him back, but he was adopted before she knew it almost, and it broke her heart. She never forgot him, she always bought him birthday and Christmas presents just like for my brother and myself, although she never got to give them to him and just kept them in a closet until she died. I’ve made it my life’s quest to find him if I can, for my myself of course, but mostly for Mama. She passed on in 2009, not knowing if he’s ok and it robbed her of the peace she deserved. Maybe if I can find him, somehow, somewhere, she’ll find the peace she couldn’t here on Earth...
