Hello, My name is Shelly (Michelle) Denby. I raised my beautiful daughter, Jeannifer Ann Brown, until she was 18 years old. She was a happy, wonderful child. She had some special needs and I was in a very difficult place when I gave her up. I was struggling mentally and emotionally at the time, was in a bad relationship with my husband, and lost a place for us to live. The moment I signed the papers for the state to take custody of her, I regretted it, because I love her dearly. At the same time, I knew that I was limited in my ability to continue to care for her, and I felt desperate to get her into a safe, loving, and caring environment, with more resources than I had to offer. I totally respect that I gave up my rights to Jeannifer and it may not be possible or in her best interest to talk with me again, but I desperately want to know if she is safe and well. I pray for her constantly and have never stopped loving her. Please let me know if you have any idea how I can get in touch with her adoptive parents or caregivers. Sincerely, Shelly
