My mom Betty Jo (Merrill) was born in (Trenton) New Jersey and abandoned in Lynchburg, Virginia 2 years later. She was reunited with Parents in New Jersey and then adopted by a family in Lynchburg, VA 2 years later. Parents names are George and Elizabeth Merrill. They divorced. Trying to find information on George & Elizabeth to help determine my own heritage. I don’t even know for sure if mom’s name was Betty Jo before adoption. But at 4 years old it was probably kept the same. Mom passed away this year (2017).
