I am trying to find my mothers birth certificate. She was born in Connecticut, supposedly Waterbury, but can’t find any further information. She was adopted by a family in Newark, New Jersey after her mother passed away. She was around 9 years of age at the time. My mother died in 1970 and spoke little about her birth family.
