I was named Joseph Anthony Amatulli at the time of my birth. My adopted name is John L. Del Rosso. My adoption records exist with the Catholic Charities in Elizabeth, NJ (201) 246-7379. They have provided me with some information, but refuse to release my records to me. Rather, they told me that for a fee, they would provide my records to an investigative agency. I’m not sure why they would give a private agency my records, but not me. My birth mother worked as an analyst for an insurance company in NJ. She was 26 when she gave birth to me. As of 2017,she would be 80 years old if she is still alive. My birth father denied paternity and my mother decided it was the best for me to be given up for adoption. My birth mom had two siblings, an older brother and a younger. I have been searching the Amatulli family for years without any luck. I am not only trying to find my birth mother but also any siblings. Both of my adopted parents passed away to tragic accidents when I was very young. I need to find my identity and I would really appreciate any assistance, especially knowing that my compete records exist with the Catholic Charities in NJ. Please help if you have the means to obtain my records so that I could continue my search. Thank you. John.
