I am searching on behalf of my father‚ with his support. He was adopted at birth or infancy in Trenton‚ New Jersey/Merce County. his birth certificate reads John David MacHardy. He was verbally told his mother was a nurse with Canadian background and his father was possibly in the Canadian air force. He is not aware of any agency name that would have been used. His family was deeply Protestant so we do not think it would have been a Catholic adoption (common at the time). This was then modified by his adopted parents. I have started an ancenstry.com search as well. We are hoping to make family connections and get deeper medical histories.
