Hello. I am searching for the Biological parents of a cousin of mine that reached out to me through a DNA match on ancestry. She is 49 years old and found out she was adopted in April, less than 3 months ago. From the little that was told to her is that: She was left at a church, She was one year old and walking when she came to be adopted by her adoptive parents, her adoptive parents were not church going people but made her go to Sunday school at Messiah Baptist church on Oak street in East Orange, New Jersey. I researched and that church is still open. Her adopted father told her that he and his wife changed her name to Tasha. Her birthday is January 13, 1970. She is predominately African American with light hazel eye with brown skin. According to her birth certificate she was born in New York New York but when she went to the court houses in New York, and presented her birth certificate, they told her that the numbers did not match and that there is no record for her birth. The officials also told her that her birth certificate was fake. Her adopted parents also never liked her going to New York for any reason. Very strange request for a person growing up in east orange new jersey. Tasha recently filed documents in new jersey to request her adoption records and true birth certificate. We are waiting for the results of that now. Because of the very interesting facts around her birth and adoption I am at a lost of how to find her birth parents and decided to use this to maybe find another cousin, aunt, relative or maybe even a parent looking for her. Thanks for reading and please do not hesitate to contact me should you think of anything or if I need to add/include any other detail. PJ
