I was born in Newark‚ NJ. My adoption took place through DYFS. I was in foster care as an infant. According to nonidentifiable information obtained‚ my birth mother and sister are still reside in the area. There was a brother‚ but he died about 7-10 years ago. My older siblings and I had different fathers. It was explained that their father gave our mother an ultimatum that resulted in me being placed in foster care and later adopted. Whether it’s true or not is irrelevant to me. I’d just like to meet with maternal family members.
