My grandfather (Robert Stanford Stickney) was adopted a few years after he was born. The only information that he could pass to us before he died was that he was left on the doorstep of an orphanage with the name "Baby Everett". He was adopted around 1933 at the age of about 5. His adoptive parents were named Fay Channing Stickney (father) and Pauline Chapman (mother). They passed when he was 10. He mentioned that he lived in a YMCA in Newburyport Mass when he was about 12. That seems to be the end of the story. I am trying to find out about bloodline heritage.
