In late August of 1967, I went to a home for unwed mothers in Kennebunkport Maine that was operated by Catholic Charities to wait for the birth of my child. I was very young and was given no other alternative but to have Catholic Charities find a loving, caring couple who had faith in god to understand my circumstances and raise my son from birth on up. It was and still is that hardest thing in life for me and all I now wish, is to finally see him. I have been looking for quite a long time and finally looked into this site. After my son, whom I named Jeffrey Todd, was born, I returned to NH and my son was transferred into the care of New Hampshire Catholic Charities in Manchester NH for adoption.
