I was adopted through Mormon Social Services. To the best of my knowledge, my birth parents were in their late teen years (college age). While not verifiable, it is my understanding that they were actually in love and wanted to be married, however there were strong religious differences between the two families (Birth Father- Catholic? Birth Mother- Mormon?) again, this is what is "remembered" during a very highly emotional time for my adoptive parents and could be inaccurate.
