I was adopted at birth from the Catholic Church Social Service by a family with the sir name Byington. TRUE OR FALSE‚ HERE ARE THE STORIES THAT SURROUNDED MY ADOPTION: *My adoption was a closed adoption so that if I wanted to find my biological family it would be very difficult to do. *My adopted birth certificate reads April 19‚ 1958 with the signature dates being May 2‚ 1958. Time is 9:42 or 9:46‚ the AM/PM is not checked. Closed adoptions moved the birthdate around (usually two weeks back or two weeks forward) making it hard to identify biological family. *I am told my mother was a nurse who came to Reno‚ Nevada to give birth at St. Mary’s Hospital from the Bay Area/ Northern California. *I have been told she wasn’t married. *My biological mother was healthy except she had bronchitis when admitted to L&D. *At birth‚ I had a full head of dark hair‚ I weighed around 6lbs‚ my eyes were blue when the color settled in. I don’t know how much information is shared about the adopting family in a closed adoption‚ I do not think the birth mother gets to pick the family like some women get to do today. The Byington family had an adopted son about 18 months older then me. However‚ his adoption was private through an attorney named Brooks in Reno‚ Nevada. My brother even knows his biological family’s sir name. We are from different biological families. ‚‚A SIDE NOTE TO MY BIOLOGICAL MOTHER: I am so very thankful for you‚ Momma! You loved me and/or respected life enough to give me life rather then terminating your pregnancy with oxytocin‚ etc. You probably have crossed over by now however‚ perhaps my brothers and sisters would like to know me? Again‚ thank you! I honor you on my birthday and Mother’s Day every year. Thank you for taking the time to read this post!
