I am searching for my biological sister‚ born in California around July or August of 1989. At birth‚ her name may have been Julie or Julia Biesinger‚ though I believe it may have later been changed to Kimberly. Her biological mother is Nancy Ann Giordano‚ and her biological father is Paul Biesinger. Our mother is of Italian and Puerto Rican descent. I am her older sister‚ Nicole Alexis Giordano-Velez—we share the same mother. I was five years old when she was born and I was there at the hospital to meet her. I didn’t understand why she never came home with us‚ and it’s something I’ve carried with me ever since. This was likely a closed adoption‚ and although I don’t know the hospital‚ agency‚ or lawyer involved‚ I was told the adoptive family was well off financially and the adoption took place in California. I have spent years hoping to find my sister. I’ve joined Ancestry.com and 23andMe‚ hoping one day our paths would cross.
