My biological son was born in Omaha, Ne on Oct 19, 1989. I signed the adoption papers to relinquish my rights on Oct 21, 1989 in the presence of Ann Greathouse, who I assume at the time was working for LDS Social Services, now called LDS Family Services. I am unsure of where the adoption took place. He could have been raised anywhere in the Midwest. His adoptive parents had no children. They had been trying to have a baby for nine years. They were in the insurance business and were members of the LDS church. The hospital where my son was born was Methodist Hospital on 84th and Dodge. Dr Joedy Istas delivered my baby. At 0319 (approximately) in the morning of Oct 19, 1989. For myself, I named my child Nicholas Bartlett. The father was John Andreasen (sp?) out of Provo or Orem, Utah. I’m pretty sure I have that spelling right. It was Andreasen, (not Anderson). My Mother, Leslee Bartlett was a foster mom at the time for the same agency (LDS Social Services) that I used to place Nicholas for adoption. That got a little sticky, as I recall, because her home was where most of the babies in the area would go for a short while until the adoptions were finalized. The agency had to place Nicholas in a different foster home than hers (obviously) at the time.
