I found my uncle Larry on ancestrydna and he confirmed he was the only child kept by my biological grandmother, Miriam out of about 11 children. We believe my father was the 1st born in November 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska when Miriam was 20, and Larry was the last, born in 1971 when Miriam was 38. My grandmother was born Miriam Gauger and she passed as Miriam Butler last year. She was still in the Omaha metro area until my uncle was at least 12 so all of her children were born in the Omaha area. My uncle has met 1 other brother and now my father is another known brother. My mother at one time talked to Miriam’s sister so the name is confirmed my grandmother’s I just thought it was Geiger and it turned out to be Gauger then the DNA confirmed it. Larry and I are looking for he and my father’s siblings. If you don’t want to reach out I urge you to contribute your DNA at ancestrydna to get a solid positive on your family members. We are out there and would like you to know it isn’t just you who’s curious about your past.
