My half brother who was then called Brian Blake was adopted in Kolkata (then Calcutta), India, in approx 1947 by an Indian family. Our mother was Barbara Anne Blake. Brian was born, part Anglo,Indian part Japanese, in a Japanese internment camp in Maymyo, Myanmar (then Burma), in approx 1942-43. My mother’s brother in law Alex Fraser arranged the adoption.
