Hello‚ my name is James Leroy Fries my stepfather adopted me in Deer Lodge Mt. In 1974. However‚ I was born as James Leroy Cressler in Great Falls Mt. on December 17‚ 1966. My unsealed birth certificate shows that my father is Carl David Cressler. I did find a wedding announcement from June 4th‚ 1966 where Carl D Cressler married my mother. My Mother was stationed at Ft Sam Houston in TX but received an honorable discharge in May of 1966 and Carl was stationed at Ft. McClellan AL. My mother passed away in May of 1992. She always told me that Carl died in Vietnam. He may have‚ but I’d like to know for sure what happened to him and more about my family’s history.
