My birth name was Barbara Jo Hopkins. My birth mother’s maiden name was Virginia Frances Adams. She was 21 years old when I was born. Adoption arrangements were made through the Catholic Church in or near Joplin‚ Missouri. It’s likely that my birth parents are not alive as I am 78 years old now. If indeed they are alive‚ that would make longevity a family trait I guess. I would like to know who my parents were and what their situation was that steered them toward adoption. I would love to know if I have any brothers or sisters. I think my birth mother might have been Virginia Cavanagh but have no confirmation of that.
