Hello Jamie, This is your birth mother, Donna Beeson. You were born on August 8, 1976 after I had been sent away to Villa Maria in St. Louis as an unwed mother. You were born at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on a Sunday. I felt I had no choice but to give you up for adoption. I was 15 years old in my Freshman year of High School. I went through Catholic Charities of St. Louis, Missouri, where I have left letter and items I crocheted for you when I was living in the house for unwed mothers, Villa Maria. I pray your life has been good and I want you know that a piece of me has been missing ever since that day when you were taken from me. I pray I get to meet you before I pass away. But haven’t felt I had the right to try to find you because I gave you up for adoption. However, I’ve had a shift inside that tells me it’s ok to find you now and that maybe you would understand and forgive me. They (Catholic Charities) sent me a letter with your baby picture from the Foster Home and said they placed you with a couple who desperately wanted a child and couldn’t have one. That they had a yard and nice home environment for you to grow up in. I pray this was true. I want you to know that I love you and have always loved you. Jamie Shawn born 6 pounds 1 ounce on Sunday, August 8, 1976 after a very hard labor - but I had you naturally . I got to hold you and sing to you in the Nursery at the Hospital because they let me say goodbye. You have always been with me, ever since, and it’s like a hole in my heart.
