I received a brief bio about my birth mother from my closed adoption. All names were blacked out. My birth mother had me in July of 1979 after she had completed her sophomore year at Garden City Community College on a tennis scholarship and had relocated to St. Louis, MO. When she lived in Garden City, during high school and college, at one time or another, she worked for Gibson’s Discount Store , the Buhge Corporation, Hilton Inn, Red Hills Motel and the 160 Cafe. She also spent a summer working in Valdez, Alaska during high school where she taught tennis and swimming (her older brother was an engineer who worked for the Alyeska Pipeline Company in Valdez, Alaska). It says that she was significantly younger (on avg. 10+ years younger) than her 3 siblings. She had one sister and two brothers. One of her brothers moved to Ashland, Kansas, worked for a oil and gas company and active with his Masonic lodge. Her other brother moved to Valdez, Alaska, worked for a oil company there, and was also active with his Masonic lodge. It says that my birth mother was about 5’8 with hazel eyes and had thick, blonde hair with a reddish cast.
