My name is Judy Kathleen (Kemp) Johnson and I would like to make contact with my son who was put up for adoption by my mother (W. Kathleen Parkman Kemp, deceased) because I was only 17 at the time of his birth. I am not looking for anything specific in the contact, just to know he is okay and hopefully meet him. He was born (breech, but natural birth, I received a few stitches) on 03/02/1971 at 11:39 a.m. in Saint Francois County Missouri in the town of Farmington at New Community Hospital. He had nice thick (for a baby) dark hair and he appeared to have dark eyes, but my eyes are hazel and his biological father’s eyes were blue. The Doctor at the time was Dr. Armantrout and he is now deceased, but I believe his son is also a practicing doctor in the area. My son was in an incubator for three weeks and was released to his adoptive parents in the end of March 1971. I learned of the medical situation from a hospital bill that was sent to my mother’s home on B Hwy in Hillsboro, Missouri in spring (before April 15th when I moved out of her home) of 1971. I wanted him named Scott Michael Kemp because his biological father’s name was Michael, but the hospital only listed him as Baby Boy Kemp. I am sure his adoptive family provided him a new name. The local DFS/FSD (Division of Family Services/Family Support Division) office sent workers to the hospital to assume custody of my son after my mother forced me to sign papers to put him up for adoption. I believe the adoption agency was located in Farmington. Any help you can provide in locating my son would be much appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely, - Judy
