My birth-mother was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She died of alcohol poisoning in 1964. I was born in St. Louis, Nov. 14, 1956. Catholic Charities’ file on me says she and my birth father had a ’casual relationship.’ I don’t know that he knew about me. Significant details about birth father is that he is/was Sicilian, employed as a ’painter-decorator’ and about 27 years old at my birth. DNA testing is showing almost 100% of my Sicilian DNA cousins (3rd cousins being the closest so far) are from the Detroit area. ??? Well, at that time, my birth mother’s mother was living with her 3rd husband in Flint, Michigan. He would also have had Native American blood.
