My mother was Annie Ruth Hightower. I know she had a daughter, Janet Marie, born June 18, 1955 while she was staying with her half-brothers, Mervin and Marlin Boyd in St. Louis, Missouri. From what my mom told me, they had a friend who could not have children and were willing to adopt Janet. My mother received a couple of pictures thru the years from her brothers of Janet. I have had no contact with her. My mom has since passed and would like to reach out to her if she would want to. There are 3 siblings total with my dad, Willie T. Hilburn and a half-brother born before Janet. I never knew his dad’s name as he was not in the picture.
