My father was due Christmas Day of 1972, but was born prematurely on October 25, 1972 in Columbus, MS. He was immediately adopted by Max & Sarah Lybrand. The adoption records are sealed. I’ve done an Ancestry DNA test and have received quite a few DNA matches for members of the Lybrand family, despite my father being “adopted.” There is a possibility that Max had an affair and that my father was the result of the affair. I was told that my father’s biological mother’s surname was Childress. There was also a story about how his biological parents were grad students at MSU, and weren’t ready to have a child, so they put him up for adoption. Nothing has ever been confirmed by Max or Sarah, as they practically never discussed it with my father or anyone else in the family. I’m desperately trying to find his biological parent(s).
