I am searching for relatives of my grandmothers birth family‚ the Rhylanders of moorhead‚ mn in the early1930s. I am searching for answers to health and heritage questions. My grandmothers birth name was Gladys Rhylander and Her brothers birth name was Earl Rhylander and both were taken to the Owatanna state orphanage in the 1930s and places for adoption by their father. I believe the father’s name was Ruben Rhylander and the mother name was Emma Rhylander (hazeldahl)‚ and they had another son the father took with him named Westley Rhylander. Emma and Ruben filed for divorce in North Dakota in 1936. I have been told that a person named Toots Grinacker was a relative of rhe birth family. I have not been able to find any other information on my Grandmothers birth family. Gladys was adopted by the Nyrud family in Willow River and Earl was adopted by the Orgis Family in Holendale‚mn.
