I am searching for my niece who was born and placed for adoption when I was only three years old. My sister, the birth mother, is also searching. She has signed a document giving the State of Minnesota permission to release the original birth certificate and contact information to her daughter if they are contacted. The baby was born at Booth Memorial Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, and was given the name Sonia Rae. Prior to deliv.ery, the birth mother Iat the Booth Brown Home for Unwed Mothers in St Paul near Como Park. According to obtained hospital records, the baby was released from the hospital on May 26, 1967 and was placed in temporary foster care. We do not kynow the name of the adoption agency. A I recently received the results of my Ancestry DNA test and had one close family match (slschulz_1). From my understanding, a close family match could be Aunt and Niece. However this person has not logged onto their Ancestry account since December of 2016, so I don’t know if they are aware of this recent match.
