I have listed Aug 23, 1944, as the birth date, but my grandma did not remember the exact birth date of her daughter, only that it was a nice day in the Twin Cities area in 1944. I do know the birth name given to her firstborn, as well as the fact that she asked the girl be placed in a Christian or Protestant home. I am working to get more info (to verify county of aoption, maternity home my Grandma stayed at, etc.), but much of this is difficult to find. If you are a female born in 1944 (or a family member trying to help your relative born in 1944 find birth family for health information or otherwise), please reach out to me and we can together try to assess whether or not my grandmother was your relative’s birth mother.
