William Carroll was born probably 1888, maybe in Ireland. Fern Combs was born probably 1905. The adoption agency indicated he was a "shoe laster" working in St Paul, MN. They were not married. They lived on a houseboat by Harriet Island, St Paul, MN in 1923 when my dad was born. Fern worked at the St Paul Goodwill store which was managed by the couple who adopted Harry. Harry was named Jack Carlyle by Alonzo and Irene Carlyle. I am looking for any relative of either William or Fern.
