My great-grandmother lived in Mendota‚ Minnesota‚ and had a child that she gave up for adoption between 1917 and 1922. She had another baby out of wedlock in 1923‚ which was my grandmother‚ and she was able to keep her. However‚ we do not know anything about the baby that was put up for adoption (exact year/date of birth‚ gender‚ when the adoption was finalized‚ etc.). My grandmother was born in a maternity home in St. Paul‚ so it’s possible the first baby was born there as well‚ but we aren’t sure about that.
