My name is Karen and I gave birth to a boy by c-section in Mankato‚ MN on June 23‚ 1988. I was 15 when I was pregnant with him and was 16 when he was born. When he was adopted‚ I sent a care-box with him. It had a letter explaining why he was placed for adoption from me‚ a letter from my mom‚ and possibly one of my sisters might have written him a note too. The box also had two pictures of me pregnant with him and photos of his birth. I also bought him a musicbox with a black horse on it and there was a blue and white afgan blanket knitted for him by the church I belonged to at the time. I don't want to impose on his life or his family's life‚ so I'm not going to actively search for him. I do want him to know that I would be thrilled to meet or at least talk to him‚ so I'm doing what I can to make it easy for him to find me‚ if he so desires.
