This is on behalf of my father born William Jacob Galland to Mable Pric e and Stephen Arthur Galland‚ his mother died 6-7 days after birth and the family had 8 other siblings ranging in age of 15-1 1/2 years. He was either given to Edwin Peterson and Mamie Peterson to raise or was adopted within a year and his name was then William Robert Peterson also of Wayne county MI and there is a possibility that The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America was the facilitator of the adaption? No records are in Michigan Vital records of a adoption yet I have acquired recently from Michigan Vital records a certified copy of his live birth under the William Jacob Galland name and birth parents.
