I am trying to find the birth date, adoption date and birthplace and birth parents of my grandmother Frances Eugenia Alley, white female. She was born under possible name of Wood in Ohio or Michigan in 1896 +/-. She had 2 other sisters 1 older and 1 younger. She was 3 when adopted and her sisters were about 1 and 5 years old. The children were taken from parents who were alcoholics or unfit parents possibly Irish as the story goes. Not sure if this is true or not. The adoptive parents were Frances Adeline (nee Roberts) Alley and John J. Alley of Michigan (Detroit). I do have a photo of the 3 girls taken about the time they were taken from birth parents and I do have a photo of 1 sister as an adult but do not know her name. She was in adopted home about 1900 so must have been born between 1896 and 1897. This is an guess. The information below is selected only to submit this form and dates are not accurate. I have no idea what her birthdate is.
